If the media is free, why should information not be free? Why do we need to pay for any of it? So that state bureaucrats can earn extra pocket money for their lunch money? Why should magazines not be free? Why are they placed in plastic wrappers, surrounded by sticky tape that seals all holes from it, creating a vacuum within? Why should these materials be sealed up as though they were the crowned jewels of the tower of London, the famed Faberge eggs of Russia?

Unexpectedly, my GP paper 1 is seriously and surprisingly much better than what i expected. After the exam, i hoped for a 17. And now i've got a 29.

It's like being back in the past, watching all those incredible people on 'Ripley's believe it or not'. This is probably one of those moments, of intense shock and disbelief - kinda similar to that experienced last year during promos (paper 2).

Personally, i think that everyone has something like an evil twin; a different and completely twisted persona from who they are from the surface. Subconsciously, everyone is injecting a wee bit of that personality into one of the most common actions of man - social interaction. Within basic conversations they hide, seamlessly juxtaposed.

People do not fail to notice this. I suspect some do, and intentionally perform for their audience to see. After all, "the whole world's [their] stage". Great actors. My suspicion lies in those who mainly see the world in only two colours - black and white, just as Rorschach did. There is no in-between, no grey, no middle line. Either you're with me or you're my enemy.

Just watched the newly released 'Alice in Wonderland', directed by Tim Burton almost moments ago. I'm still thinking of a word that can correctly describe what my memory just ate.

Though i won't say that its an excellent movie (like Dark Knight excellent), its definitely interesting. For me, the storyline was quite confusing at times, usually with the appearance of the mad hatter, and his unknown language at times. Though there were some humourous, moments at times, i would think that this is just the appearance of the movie, which was meant to convey perhaps a darker, more sinister meaning.

Its definitely not one of those movies where you watch and say "Eureka!", some parts were indeed confusing, and the story felt short; like more could be done to beef it up.

Nevertheless, it is an interesting movie. The good or bad depends on different people's perspectives.

What's wrong with this screwed up weather? Rain has indeed been falling, but come on, a baby's tears can match up to the volume of water that falls.

Is it the extremely hot weather that has caused forest fires? Or is it the negligent burning of forests by people ironically trying to make a living while potentially killing people at the same time? Had a freaking fire drill in school, and tbh, it sucks bad. The usual waiting which is associated with fire drills and stuff, the interminable wait, the scorching sun, and the damp 'synthetic soil' combine to give a formula for disaster. So basically we set in the hot sun for almost 40-50 mins, and then they declared that everyone will be having recess right after the fire drill since it practically stole so many people's recess.

Then i went for a medical checkup, and the doctor decided to change my medication. The worst thing was that the medicine was to be taken in doses like half a tablet, a tablet and finally a tablet and a half. And cutting tablets are NEVER a good idea. Why can't they just produce it in the required dosages? Life's already difficult enough to remember to take medicine, and now i have to take it while being reminded of fractions?

CNY I think, as a whole, was kinda disappointing.

Not because of the 'earnings' from red packets, but because of what felt to be an extremely short holidays which didn't felt like a holiday at all.

Where were the days of waking up late; of sleeping till we wake up ourselves?

Where were the reunions, the card games, the laughter, the games, the conversations? Everything seems missing. Everything feels different from before. It's not the traditional/stereotypical CNY which i expected.

Ending off on a lighter note though, at least something came through for me.

First, it started with an hours of mindless dragon/lion dancing, with people pointlessly throwing sweets around.

Then there was the 30min break where everybody stoned at the canteen.

Then the real 'fun' began. Well until the disturbing part where the new teachers tried to be some chipmunk rubbish, who had mutilated hands and feet which were moving by themselves. Top that off with an almost freakish smile, it's like hell on earth.

Followed swiftly by an emcee that just could not make it. Nice try at trying to get the audience into the performance, i was so enthusiastic towards the end!

Not.

Then the even more retarded angel-mortal revelation, which would have given the cleaners a hell of a time to clean up the hall afterwards. So much for planning.

Last story of the day.

After tennis, i was rushing to get home just so i can eat my medicine. I went out of school at 5:35.

Reached bus stop outside Pasir Ris MRT at 5:45.

Reached Tampines at 5:55.

Reached bus-stop outside Tampines mall at 6:00.

No buses came at 6:05. Shit, medicine is at 6:15.

Took taxi at 6:06. Reached home at 6:13 - just enough time for food and medicine, and an orchestrated sigh of relief.

Had a tiny afternoon nap, only to wake up realising that i should have taken my medicine 10 mins ago. Guess i was woken up by the TV, which was showing some bloody loud documentary on Nat. Geo.

For some reason, my ears have been aptly tuned to sounds recently. They love great tunes, while they despise loud and unnecessary noises. It's like the music adds to relaxation while the noises, irritating and annoying as they can possibly be, add more stress to the workload that i'm currently struggling so much with. Really can't wait for CNY - not because of the money, the relatives, but i'm relying on them to propel me back to the productivity which i had possessed while in J1.

Though i do agree that the workload in J2 is heavier, i must agree that to a certain extent, it is still considered manageable despite the lessened time to do them cause of training and what nots.

I really need to catch up. I WANT to catch up. Though i got to admit, the exhaustion and tired days are seriously being a bitch.

I've been contemplating whether to change my earphones for quite some time. Then, seeing an advertisement on Digital Life isn't really helping me to answer my question:

"Should I?"

As of today, I'm thinking of 3 options.

1. Obviously, don't change; stick to my Bose in-ear headphones.

2. Change to Ultimate Ears 700, which has an offer from now till 28th February, whereby purchase can also lead to a 'free' gift of a speaker.

3. Switch to Jays q Jays, another pair which has been marked as a competitor for the UE 700s. I came across this pair while reading reviews for the UE 700s. It seems to be a better alternative, for now - apparently, it costs less, and has more accessories such as a filter, more ear buds e.t.c.

Trilemma much. As of now, I have absolutely no idea about the price of the Jays earphones. I guess i will only make a decision until then.

Was walking out of school went this 40-50+ couple walked towards me and asked how to take bus to Tampines Mall.

I said i didn't know how to take bus there since i don't take bus to TM from school. Thus i recommended them to follow me whilst i take the MRT to Tampines - same stop anyway.

Then they gave me a look. A look which is almost equivalent to when one rolls his/her eyes in disgust in a particular situation. Nevertheless, they followed me, while i was outpacing them.

Not that i have it,

But i think too many people have it.

In a bid to become technologically advanced in society, some, or rather majority have given up uniqueness for an iPhone. And when they get one, they don't fully utillise the iPhone by sticking with the freaking ugly pre-loaded theme (that is if it even qualifies as one).

I mean, what's wrong with NOT owning an iPhone?

It's not like you can't fit into society, or get into the latest trends, or the latest groups (as ESPN News seems to suggest), so what's up with the mad rush with everyone in getting that piece of 'elusive' and 'exclusive' piece of device, that has been much sought after since Apple added an Ass to the phone?

IMO, the main reason is mainly due to the fact that many believe that Apple = Good. Well, it's what the adage said "An apple a day keeps the doctor away". Though i would very much doubt apple's ability to prevent say H1N1, HIV, or any new and undiscovered diseases. Also, they believe that it is a WONDERFUL alternative to the Mac!

Flying off to Japan on Tuesday morning. Morning as in morning super early morning. Morning as in the night-time when people normally sleep nowadays - i don't, for one.

And it's just so unimaginable. I can't believe that it's really happening, but yet my gut instinctively tells me that something big's about to happen. And yet, this conflict inside is, well, conflicting.

Anyway, I will try to blog whilst at Japan (my cousin's bringing his laptop - i'm not bringing mine), random updates, I will have my Ipod and WiFi - a man's best friend.

Had tennis yesterday. Yes. Yesterday. And by 'yesterday' i meant Saturday. I wonder when the band trend of CCA on saturday ever spread to tennis.

So we had 3 hours of tennis, which basically tested our tennis ability based on some extremely weird test which had a bag load full of assumptions tossed in it, concocted into a potion bred for disaster.

I apparently scored 72 points - summed up from my groundstrokes, volleys, serve and physical ability. This, in the 'rulebook' translated to an intermediate player, and nothing in some stupid rating. Apparently i am 8 points away from being rated.

Well at least i'm not the worst there.

Well, apparently, i'm writing it here for a reason, so it should be simple enough to figure out.

After being shortlisted, there is an interview to select a few elite to join the program.

Though the question is, will i, ultimately be willing to sacrifice 3/4s of my saturdays a month for this? I might, considering it affects my future - landing a spot in here or there, for free or not. Was my birthday!

Went to PP in the morning - mid-afternoon, got a new mouse and a freaking cool starbucks tumbler which looks exactly like the cup which they give to you when you order like frappucinos and what not.

Didn't really know if we really put up a good show, but just hope that everything is okay. Though i got that feeling that i screwed up Q&A though.

For some reason (maybe due to The Beatles: Rock Band) i've been hooked on to The Beatles music rather than MUSE. Perhaps its that they have so many nice songs to listen to. Perhaps its the way they write their songs that it even fits with the song. Maybe it's me trying to figure out what every song means.

Getting kinda tired of some who just can't seem to think or something. I would say it to be more of like 'surprising boredom'.

PW ends in around 2 weeks time. After which, if i'm not wrong is the ominously dubbed 'holiday lectures', which i doubt anyone is looking forward to since the school can't seem to stop rushing through the syllabus such that we can have more quote-unquote revision time. But, what's the use of having more revision time if at first we don't understand the content well/perfectly?

Personally, i don't get whats the thing with the media's constant obsession with Ris Low, which often results in new entries for the English,

I meant Singlish dictionary. On one hand, they have gotten too far. On the other, she has.

I don't really get why people use her words so much when they themselves mocked her so much. Somewhat hypocritical, IMO, unless they are mocking her, in which case is a joke which has outlived its purpose and comedic appeal.

OP dry run was a beautiful disaster.

The group was more or less, totally unprepared for the majority, and the slides had not much of coherence. Q & A was not that good, i had like a pause for eternity just trying to think of something to say.

Think again. The real OP is next friday. Yes. First day. One of the first groups. Moderators coming? Unknown. Prepared? Not really.

And whats more theres still I & R, which i am totally clueless about. Thanks for canceling PW lecture last minute.

Went to the dentist yesterday, which was the first checkup since sec 3. Checked awhile and the dentist said that she needed to do 6 fillings. Yes. No typo.

There was also some cleaning by the dentist. Sparkly clean i suppose.

So after all the pain and suffering experienced by my darling molars, i went home with a sore throat. And i could hardly sleep at night. And when i woke up this morning i felt like crap. Went to school in the morning and had some degree of flue - runny nose and the sort. Then decided to see a doctor at night. He told me that it was the drilling from the teeth filling that caused the germs to 'fly' into my throat, causing the 'redness' he sees in my throat.

So much for customs and spot checks.

Had a maths lecture at 10:25, but school started at 7:30.

My group decided to chiong WR before then, chiong chiong chiong. After 2 periods of maths lecture, chiong again. All the way until around 1+PM, where i decided to stay to do WR whilst they went off to interview someone (Cos we changed proposals). 30 mins later, they returned, and said they weren't able to interview that guy cause, apparently, we didn't follow protocol. The irony is that we have been waiting for a reply to our email for several days already.

When they came back, i found out i wasn't able to save the edited draft! 30mins of hard work gone down the drain. Was so scared that what i edited would all be gone, but found out only later that it was the references section which was not there. Lucky i had copied it to somewhere else already.

Was seriously a mad rush since our ST just returned us our previous draft around 2-3 days ago. Adding to that, Monday is a holiday in lieu, and our WR file isn't small enough to be sent through email, which just had to finish it by today.

I know, for a fact, that being the extreme psychopathic stalker that you are, you are 99.99993% reading my blog.
